ILSI was created in 2002 as a "fill-in the gap" agency to provide immigration legal services for those who cannot afford private attorneys nor qualify for free legal aid because of income or legal status requirements.  ILSI benefits from the assistance of agencies and institutions in the St. Louis community, including the St. Louis Mental Health Board, Washington University School of Law, the Center for Survivors of Torture and War Trauma, Community Alternatives and Bilingual International Assistant Services ("BIAS").  Together, we work to help individuals and their families live securely in the United States.
